On this page you will find the following:

1. THE PURPOSE OF THIS WEB SITE

Return to Menu

MHSClassof1966.org was created to connect and re-connect with our classmates (even those who will not be attending the reunions). Our next goal is to make this site a scrapbook of memories for all classmates and their families. The site is private, and there is no cost to individual classmates to use it.

Everything you need to know to gain access to the rest of our site is on this page. If you have questions, please contact Mark Fleming, Site Administrator.

2. PRIVACY AND TERMS OF USE

PRIVACY

All Contact Information [your physical (street) address, phone number, and e-mail address] that you enter into this Web site will be kept confidential. The host of this site, ClassCreator.com, understands the importance of your privacy. Your personal information will never be sold to other sites. It will not be shared or distributed.

Your Contact Information is private.  The Contact Information that you are required to enter on the Details page when you set up your account is accessible only to Mark Fleming (Site Administrator) and Jim Bowman (Reunion Leader), but not to other classmates.

You also have the ability to limit accessibility of your Profile page only to other classmates by clicking on the appropriate option in the Profile Visibility section of your Profile page setup.  However, if you do not opt for this limit, your profile can be viewed by non-members, such as your friends or family.  Also in this case, your profile will be fully indexable by major search engines.

Finding your Profile page by searching Google or other major search engines.  If you are signed on to the site and you have restricted the accessibility of your Profile page only to other classmates, and you then use a search engine to see if your selected privacy option is working, it will appear that it is NOT.  This condition occurs only when you are signed into the site.  If you sign out and check again, you will see that none of your Profile information is viewable by non-members.

Emails may be shared within this site using the contact option at the top of each classmate's Profile page (just look under the classmate's main photo in the upper left). This way you will be able to contact classmates without sharing your private email address, unless you choose to do so.

Class email news may be sent to you via this Web site.  If your email software has spam blocking or filtering capabilities, please add noreply@classcreator.net to the white list, safe list, or safe sender's list in your email account, in order to ensure you receive email communications from us.  Please be assured that all emails sent through our site are valid. You will not receive spam emails.

If you do not want your name and Profile page on this site, they may be removed by contacting Mark Fleming.  However, this step will end all communications to you from the Marshalltown High School Class of 1966, unless you ask that special arrangements be made.

TERMS OF USE

As a user of this site, you agree to certain conditions set forth in the Class Creator Website Usage Agreement, which you are encouraged to read.

3. SETTING UP YOUR PROFILE

Return to Menu

Initial account setup.  In order to access the pages that are password protected on this site, you must set up your account by providing your Contact Information and a password that you select.  Locate the Classmate Profiles link, then locate your name, and click on it.  Follow the prompts to enter your password and Contact Information, and then set up your Profile page.  If your name is not already on the site but you were a member of the Marshalltown High School Class of 1966, contact Mark Fleming, and your name will be added.

Updates.  If you change your email address, physical address, or phone number, please update your Contact Information on the Details page so we have up-to-date information. That way you'll always be in the know about what your classmates are up to!

Passwords.  We recommend that you choose a password with at least eight characters, including upper- and lower-case letters, numbers, and special characters such as #. $, %, &, and *.  Clicking the "Remember Me" box will allow you to bypass entering the password each time you visit, as long as you use the same computer to log on.  If you forget your password, simply click the "Forgot Password" box, and instructions will be sent to you at the email address that you used to set up your account.  If you have several email accounts, and you don't remember the one you used to set up your account, contact Mark Fleming.  However, resetting your account may take some time.

4. "MISSING" CLASSMATES

Return to Menu

The site assembles a Missing Classmates list, based on the names of classmates for whom we have no current email addresses.

We need your help to contact every classmate. If you have an email address, a physical address, and/or a phone number for any missing classmate, please contact Mark Fleming

5. COMMUNICATING WITH CLASSMATES

Return to Menu

To contact another classmate, you may simply use the email option at the top left of each Classmate's Profile page (located under Master Photo). This feature will allow open communication between classmates, while protecting your Contact Information. However, if you wish to share your email address or other Contact Information within a message written on our site, the site will not block you from doing so.
